On June 22, 2016, the Faculty hosted a preliminary meeting for the delegates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to meet with student representatives from Chulalongkorn University and other institutes to prepare for their visit to Cambodia. The fully sponsored trip during June 26-30, 2016 is part of the Second ASEAN-China Youth Exchange Visit Program, in which students from Southeast Asian countries were offered opportunities to attend a seminar and discussions and present their views on challenging issues relating to youth and leadership. The participants from Thailand were assigned to give talks on supporting leadership and the role of public sector and key challenges facing youth participation in educational development. This year, six students from the Faculty have been selected.

The activity was well received by Arts students. The application was overwhelming despite an extremely brief recruitment period. This reflects the fact that projects related to the ASEAN are
drawing more attention from the new generation of Arts students who are becoming more enthusiastic and craving to learn more about the ASEAN. It is a good sign for future ASEAN projects to have more students representing the Faculty of Arts.
