On March 30, 2017, Her Excellency Alicia Sonschein, Ambassador of Argentina to the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy visit to the Faculty of Arts to discuss future collaborations between the Faculty of Arts and the Embassy of Argentina. Accompanied by Pablo Spahr, Head of the Embassy’s Political Section, the Ambassador was warmly welcomed by Faculty Dean Associate Professor Kingkarn Thepkanjana, Ph.D., Associate Dean Assistant Professor Suradech Chotiudompant Ph.D., Assistant Professor Pasuree Luesakul, Ph.D., Director of the Center for Latin American Studies, and lecturers in the Faculty’s Spanish section, Assistant Professor Penpisa Srivoranart, Ph.D., and Ajarn Sukij Poopuang. The Ambassador thanked the Faculty for its warm and friendly cooperation over the years and stressed the need to promote Argentine arts and culture, especially Argentine literature, which has taken prominent place in the Latin American literary landscape. With the help of the Center for Latin American Studies, the Faculty pledged to continue collaborating with the Embassy to assure that our students are given best opportunities to enhance their knowledge of Latin American culture.
