On Friday, April 12, 2019, representatives from the Faculty of Arts led by the Dean, Professor Kingkarn Thepkanchana, Ph.D., met with the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Macquarie University, Professor Martina Möllering, Ph.D.   and Matt Monkhouse, Director, Southeast Asia and Eurasia, Macquarie International.  Accompanying Professor Thepkanchana were Associate Professor Suradech Chotiudompant, Ph.D., Assistant Professor Nirada Chitrakara, Ph.D., and Porranee Singpliam, Ph.D.  The contents of the meeting included introductions of the two institutions and possible collaborations.  The activities discussed were a double degree program, a summer program, and an exchange program.  Form the discussion, we discovered that the two institutions have many characteristics in common which will certainly facilitate the collaboration.  The major difference between the two institutions are that the Faculty of Arts at Macquarie oversees not only the areas of language and culture, but also the areas of law, anthropology, music, and communication.
