In 2000, CTLL has broadened its research scope and responsibility. It has concentrated its effort to be an international centre on both the Thai and Tai language and literature. The centre has helped boost both experienced and new researchers to conduct high quality research on various topics such as Thai classical and modern literature, Comparative Tai, Tai literature, Thai language and culture, Thai discourse, etc. It also aims to make these studies available not only to a large group of Thai audience but also to the international academic community.
How to accomplish the new mission
- support scholars who conduct high quality research to present at international conferences.
- publish new findings and make them available to a larger group of audience.
- collaborate with research institutions and scholars from other countries.
- host national and international conferences, seminars, or workshops.
