Academic achievements under the topic “Applying OECD’s FOS classification to Thai scholarly publications: A co-index analysis based on the Web of Science Categories” from Chulalongkorn University’s research team with leading from Professor Songphan Choemprayong, Ph. D., and Assistant Professor Pimrumpai Premsmit, Ph. D. was nominated in an academic conference “7th International Conference on Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Libraries” at Paris, France, on 26 – 29 May 2015.
This research project is a cooperation between Department of Library Science and Research Department of the Division of Academics, by using the academics research index information from the evident countries in the archive of “ISI Web of Knowledge” categorization of each department according to “Field of Science and Technology” by OECD and create visualization that will aid in the compatibility of Thai academic work and categorization of each department according to OECD . Research shows that the categorization of each department according to OECD is able to explain most of the Thai academic works, however, there is some minor field that follows a different index information from the categorization of OECD, which should be used in further and thorough research.
