The estimated tuition fee per semester for academic year 2020 is THB 82,500 for Thai students and THB 154,200 for foreign students. These estimates do not include books and supplies, accommodation, health insurance, immigration process, and other personal expenses.
To promote international scholarship, the Faculty of Arts will provide a scholarship up to 70,960 baht for all international graduate students for three years.
Full and partial scholarship and awards are mostly available from the Graduate School, Chulalongkorn University and from other national funding agencies on a competitive basis. Most scholarship applications required applicants to be accepted students only.
Full funding aids
For students who begin their study in the first semester of academic year 2020, there are two scholarship programs providing full funding support.
1. The Graduate Scholarships Program for ASEAN and non-ASEAN countries
The Graduate Scholarships Program for ASEAN and non-ASEAN countries aims to support academics and researchers from foreign countries to pursue postgraduate education (both master’s and doctoral degrees) at Chulalongkorn University. Terms and conditions apply. The scholarship covers partial tuition fee, a round-trip ticket, and monthly stipends. Applicants who are admitted to the program are eligible to apply. However, the selection is on a competitive basis. The GPIS admission committee will nominated eligible candidates to the university. 2. The C2F PhD Scholarship
Chulalongkorn University’s C2F funding is offering a scholarship for talented, highly motivated, and dedicate students in the PhD program in Information Studies. The applicant must meet the qualifications required by GPIS and have interests in one of the following research areas:
- Evidence-based social Q&A (heath science/health librarianship background and/or experience is preferred.)
- critical analysis of digital humanities and/or digital scholarship
- Thai social media/network movement during COVID-19 pandemic or post COVID-19 era (social media data mining or Thai natural language processing background and/or experience is preferred.)
The awardee will be working under the supervision of Dr.Songphan Choemprayong. The scholarship covers partial tuition fee, monthly stipend, and housing allowance (for a foreign student) up to 3 years for the recipient entering with master’s degree and up to 5 years for the recipient entering with bachelor’s degree. The awardee will have opportunities to contribute to and become a member of either the Arc of Memory research unit or the Behavioral Research and Informatics in Social Science Research Unit.
