The Boromrajakumari Building was officially opened by H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on March 26, 1994. The foyer provides a place where students can engage in academic and social activities. The second floor houses the Faculty Computer Center. Classrooms occupy the third to sixth floors. On the seventh floor are conference rooms. Faculty offices occupy the eighth to twelfth floors. The thirteenth floor houses the Office of Buddhist Studies, offices for international programs and a journal, the Translation and Interpretation Center, the Center for Literary Studies , the Office of the Thai Civilization Unit, and the BALAC office.
 

  

2011 Admissions

 To apply for our program, prospective students are required to:

(1) have completed, or be presently enrolled in their final year of secondary school, the equivalent of Mathayom 6 (grade 12 in the US system or year 13 in the British system);

(2) have attained a satisfactory score on one of these English proficiency tests:

  •  TOEFL with a minimum score of 213 (computer-based), 550  (paper- based), 79 (internet-based); OR     
  •  IELTS with a minimum score of 6.0; OR
  •  CU-TEP with a minimum score of 550 (TOEFL paper-based equivalent)

(3) have attained a satisfactory score on one of these aptitude tests:

  • SAT I (Critical Reading) with a minimum score of 400; OR
  • CU-AAT (Verbal) with a minimum score of 400
  • ACT (Verbal) with a minimum score of 18

(4) be willing to to comply with the rules and codes of Chulalongkorn University

       Successful candidates must confirm their decision to take their place by reporting to the BALAC office from 17 - 18 March 2011, from 8am to 3pm. After this period, those who fail to do so will be regarded as rejecting the offer and the BALAC reserves the right to call candidates in the waiting list to take their place.

       As part of the confirmation process, candidates must pay a non-refundable reservation fee of THB48,000 in cash or in cashier cheque payable to "¤³ÐÍÑ¡ÉÃÈÒʵÃì ¨ØÌÒÏ". Please note that this reservation fee is considered part of the tuition fee of the first semester and the amount you pay will be automatically deducted from the full tuition fee you will need to pay subsequently.
 

      

 

Selection Exams

The written examination for the 2011 admissions will take place on February 5, 2011 from 10am until noon. Those who pass the written examination will need to take the oral examination, which is to be held during February 15-21, 2011.

  • The Written Examination is aimed to test the candidates' critical and analytical skills.
  • The Interview Examination is aimed to test the candidates' skill in oral presentation.

For Foreign students
