The BA in Language and Culture (BALAC) is the first international undergraduate program offered by the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. Having as its objectives to blend traditional and contemporary trends in the humanities and to prepare students for globalized cultural change through teaching aimed at developing their critical thinking and independent research capabilities, this program is ideal for students wishing to enhance their knowledge of language and culture in their various dimensions.

Chulalongkorn University has approved the central admission of international students (non-holders of the Thai passport) to the Bachelor’s Degree (International) Programs in the following Faculties for the Academic Year 2014.

Waiting list no.1-56 must confirm their decision to take their place by reporting to the BALAC office on 24 March 2014, from 08.30-11.30 hrs. Please pay a non-refundable reservation fee of THB53,000 in cash or in cashier cheque payable to "ѡʵ ".

       Successful candidates must confirm their decision to take their place by reporting to the BALAC office during 20 - 21 March 2014, from 08.30-14.30 hrs. After this period, those who fail to do so will be regarded as rejecting the offer and the BALAC reserves the right to call candidates in the waiting list to take their place.

       As part of the confirmation process, candidates must pay a non-refundable reservation fee of THB53,000 in cash or in cashier cheque payable to "ѡʵ ". Please note that this reservation fee is considered part of the tuition fee of the first semester and the amount you pay will be automatically deducted from the full tuition fee you will need to pay subsequently.

- February 6, 2014: Announcement of Candidates for Written Examination

 

- February 8, 2014: Written Examination from 10 am until noon

 

Those who pass the written examination will need to take the oral examination

 

- February 17, 2014: Announcement of Candidates for Oral Examination

 

- February 18-24, 2014: Oral Examination

 

The Written Examination is aimed to test the candidates' critical and analytical skills.

The Interview Examination is aimed to test the candidates' skill in oral presentation.

There are three options to pay Tuition Fees for the Faculty of Arts, by:

1. cash to be paid at room 117 Financial Department, Mahavachiravut building, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University

2. cashier cheque payable to "Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University"

3. transfer to account "152-4218367" Account name "Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University" Bangkok Bank, Siam square branch

 

Please fax your pay-in slip to the office (Fax no. 0-2218-4641) after you have transferred the amount.

 

*Remark Print the CR8 (Tuition Payment Report) under the menu Enquiries about Personal Information and go to CR74&CR8 and make the payment at Siam Commercial Bank at any branch nationwide during their working hours from December 30, 2013-January 6, 2014. Students can check the payment result on www.reg.chula.ac.th on the first day of the semester.
