Abstract

The thesis has two main aims. The first is to identify both the required cases and the optional cases of Thai intransitive verbs. The second is to classify intransitive verbs according to their case frames. It can be concluded that Thai intransitive verbs require only one of the following cases : Agentive, Experiencer, Objective. Beside these required cases, some intransitive verbs allow one of the followings : Source, both Source and Goal, or Measure. According to their case frames, Thai intransitive verbs are classified into 8 distinctive types.

จากผลการวิเคราะห์อาจสรุปได้ว่า คำกริยาอกรรมต้องการการกใดการกหนึ่งต่อไปนี้เพียงการกเดียว คือ ผู้ก่อการกระทำ ผู้มีประสบการณ์ ผู้ทรงหรือเปลี่ยนสภาพ คำกริยาอกรรมบางคำยอมให้มีการกอื่นอีกคือ จุดเริ่มต้น หรือจุดเริ่มต้นและจุดหมาย และเมื่อพิจารณาคำกริยาอกรรมตามการปรากฏในกรอบการกแล้ว คำกริยาอกรรมอาจจำแนกออกเป็นชนิดย่อยได้ 8 ชนิด
