Basic concepts, theories, and methods in Discourse Analysis; its application in translation; practice in analyzing various text types and various discourses from both of their original forms and their translations.

2241624 Thai Language Skills for Translators

Practicum in the use of words, sentences, registers, and styles in Thai; lexical choices; lexical variation, new coinage; analysis and solutions to the problems in the use of the Thai language in translation work.

2241625 Seminar in Translation

Discussion, analysis, and criticism of selected topics; translation theories and approaches; current issues of interest in translation studies.

2241631 Translation Practicum from a Foreign Language into Thai

Practice in the analysis and interpretation of source texts of various genres in a selected foreign language; selection of appropriate translation types; processes of translating into Thai, and evaluation of target texts.
