His areas of interest include history of Southeast Asia with a focus on Post Angkorian Cambodia, history of ordinary people, as well as relation between history and folklore. His current project explores the construction of knowledge in Khmer folktales, and a translation of Khmer children\u2019s books. He is also currently working on a book chapter about the intricate relation between clothes, body, and merit\/power in the Nineteenth Century Cambodia.
