The followings include the details about the admission process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications of applicants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An applicant must meet one of the following academic qualifications:<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Earn a Master\u2019s degree in any related fields which are approved by the Department\u2019s Committee on Graduate Programs in Information Studies<\/li><li>Earn a Bachelor\u2019s degree (honours required for applying Ph.D. program) in any related fields which are approved by the Department\u2019s Committee on Graduate Programs in Information Studies<\/li><li>Study in the last semester at a Bachelor\u2019s or higher level and be expected to complete an eligible degree in any related fields which are approved by the Department\u2019s Committee on Graduate Programs in Information Studies<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An applicant must have one of the English language proficiency test scores which must be valid for two years from the date of the exam:<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>TOEFL (Paper-based Test: PBT) with a minimum of 550<\/li><li>TOEFL (Internet-based Test: iBT) with a minimum of 79<\/li><li>IELTS with a minimum of 6.0<\/li><li>CU-TEP with a minimum of 75<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If an applicant holds an international degree from a university certified by the Office of the Civil Service Commission, there is no need to submit the English language proficiency test scores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Required documents for all applications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A completed online <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arts.chula.ac.th\/libsci\/ma-phd\/?page_id=287\">application form<\/a><\/li><li>A passport photo<\/li><li>A proof of application fee payment<\/li><li>A photocopy of identification card or passport with verification<\/li><li>A photocopy of transcripts with verification<\/li><li>A valid copy of English proficiency test scores with verification<\/li><li>Two letters of recommendation from an applicant\u2019s employers and\/or university instructors<\/li><li>A 800 \u2013 1,000-word statement of purpose indicating the following elements:<br>&#8211; an applicant\u2019 reasons for studying in this program<br>&#8211; study plan, and<br>&#8211; goals after graduation<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional document for doctoral program applications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A 3,000 \u2013 5,000-word research proposal at least including the following sections:<br>&#8211; Introduction (e.g. overview of the research, research questions, the major approaches, rationale, and significance of the research<br>&#8211; Research contexts (e.g. understanding of the research issues, and existing both theoretical and practical gaps that the research is intended to address<br>&#8211;
