She is a former department chair and has \ntaught at the University of Alberta and Dalhousie University in Canada, \nand Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Her research \ninterests are interdisciplinary, with a focus on digital literacy and \ninformation behavior. She has been funded by the Social Sciences and \nHumanities Research Council of Canada, and the Institute of Museum and \nLibrary Services (U.S.), among other agencies. Dr. Julien is widely \npublished in the field\u2019s top journals, and she presents her work at \nhighly competitive conferences. She has been a visiting professor at the\n University of Pretoria, Charles Sturt University, and Beijing Normal \nUniversity, and she has been invited to give plenary talks around the \nworld. She has served as editor and on the editorial board of the \nCanadian Journal of Information and Library Science, and on the \neditorial boards of Library &amp; Information Science Research, and \nCosmopolitan Civil Societies: An Interdisciplinary Journal.
