นิสิตสามารถเรียนรายวิชาระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาของภาควิชาภาษาศาสตร์ คณะอักษรศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เป็นวิชาบังคับเลือกได้ โดยผ่านความเห็นชอบจากคณะกรรมการบริหารภาควิชาภาษาศาสตร์
รายวิชาเลือก 6 หน่วยกิต
1. ให้เลือกจากรายวิชาบังคับเลือกที่เหลือ หรือ
2. ให้เลือกจากรายวิชาระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาของภาควิชาภาษาศาสตร์ คณะอักษรศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย โดยผ่านความเห็นชอบจากคณะกรรมการบริหารภาควิชาภาษาศาสตร์ หรือให้เลือกจากรายวิชาอื่นๆในคณะอักษรศาสตร์ หรือในจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยโดยผ่านความเห็นชอบจากคณะกรรมการบริหารภาควิชาภาษาศาสตร์
โปรแกรมเกียรตินิยม
สำหรับนิสิตวิชาเอกสาขาวิชาอื่นในคณะที่มีคุณสมบัติดังนี้
- มีความสนใจที่จะศึกษาด้านภาษาศาสตร์โดยเน้นการวิจัย เพื่อเป็นพื้นฐานในการศึกษาต่อในระดับปริญญาโทและเอกต่อไป
- ผ่านการเรียนในชั้นปีที่ 1 ด้วยแต้มเฉลี่ยสะสมไม่ต่ำกว่า 3.75 และเรียนรายวิชาในหลักสูตรมาแล้วไม่ต่ำกว่า 36 หน่วยกิต กรณีได้แต้มเฉลี่ยสะสมต่ำกว่า 3.75 แต่สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ของมหาวิทยาลัย คือ 3.50 ให้อยู่ในดุลยพินิจของคณะกรรมการบริหารคณะอักษรศาสตร์
- ต้องได้รับความเห็นชอบจากสาขาวิชาเอกที่นิสิตสังกัดอยู่

Students may take graduate courses offered by the department of linguistics as compulsory electives if approved by the administrative committee of the department of linguistics.

1. The rest of the courses aside from those taken as compulsory electives or
2. Graduate courses offered by the department of linguistics, the Faculty of Arts or Chulalongkorn University if approved by the administrative committee of the department of linguistics.
Honors Program
- The Honors Program is for students who are interested in studying linguistics and doing linguistic research as background.
- Students who are eligible for the Program are those who have earned no less than 3.75 GPA during their first undergraduate year and taken the bachelor’s degree courses for at least 36 credits. The eligibility of students with their GPA lower than 3.75 but higher than 3.50 is subject to the consideration of the administrative committee of the department of linguistics.
- Students must have been given approval from the major department.
