\u00a0<\/strong>On\u00a0 Arts Open House 2025 held during 6-7th April 2025, Thai Traditional Dance Club of Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University performed \u201cFon Lao Kham Hom\u201d and \u201cLakhon Nok Suwannahong: Chom Tham\u201d at Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, Faculty of Arts. These performances, supervised by Asst.Prof.Komkai Klinpakdee and Ajarn Dr.Narongrit Chaokam, provided members of the club with opportunity to show their potential and present Thai art and culture to participants of the event.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cFon Lao Kham Hom\u201d<\/strong> is a Thai traditional dance synchronized with a song named Lao Kham Hom, which originated from a ballad sung to showcase the ability of a performer during Sakkawa, a Thai traditional recreation activity. The current melody and lyrics of Lao Kham Hom were composed by Phraprasanduriyasup (Plaek Prasansup). The theme of this song implies a cautionary tale about a man aiming to pursue a woman of a higher social status, represented through metaphors about nature. The dream-like melody suits their love story perfectly, working its magic alongside with the delicate choreography of male and female performers. The dance was performed by Mr. Aphinun Kongkanta, Mr. Wisutt Panyaworayan Ms. Nichapa Pindasiri, and Ms. Nichapatch Boonrod.<\/p>

\u201cLakhon Nok Suwannahong: Chom Tham\u201d<\/strong> is a play by His Royal Highness Prince Tinkorn (Bhuvanetra Narindarariddhi). The story of this chapter begins when Phra Suwannahong becomes suspicious of Little Brahmin and decides to take the two Brahmins (Big Brahmin and Little Brahmin) to visit a cave full of gemstones in order to prove whether Little Brahmin is his beloved in disguise or not. The performance radiates glamour as if the venue were indeed adorned with gemstones. The pas de deux between the two protagonists, together with Kumphon (Big Bramin), fulfills the stage with vivacity. The cast includes Mr. Kanarat Homthip\u2014Phra Suwannahong, Ms. Kwanpreeya Anukul\u2014Little Brahmin (Ketsuriyong), Mr. Tisaban Boonyarat\u2014Big Brahmin (Kumphon), along with the nine perfomers of the Navaratna: Ms. Amonrada Kasinacheva, Ms. Benyapa Plaiduang, Ms. Chitralada Thiensawat, Ms. Nichapa Pindasiri, Ms. Nichapatch Boonrod, Ms. Panwad Somboon, Ms. Patanya Kannarong, Ms. Pichayapa Aoumboon and Ms. Warittha Pruksarak.<\/p>
