Welcoming students from National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taiwan

On Tuesday February 7, 2023 Assistant Professor Nirada Chitrakara, Associate Dean, together with 10 students from the Department of English welcomed Assistant Professor Chawarote Valyamedhi and his students from the department of Southeast Asian Languages and Cultures, National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taiwan.  The visit is part of the NCCU students’ study tour in Thailand. The activities at the Faculty of Arts include presentations introducing the two universities and ice-breaking activities with questions and answers about Chulalongkorn University, Thai culture, and Thai food. 

Assistant Professor Valyamedhi who is an alumnus of Chulalongkorn University, represents NCCU’s College of Liberal Arts’ international affairs. The visit is in relation to his meeting with Assistant Professor Chitrakara and Dr. Porranee Singpliam back in December 7, 2022 which they agreed to work on the collaboration between the two institutions, especially in the field of Thai studies. 

National Chengchi University (NCCU) was founded in 1927.  The NCCU is a comprehensive university with 11 colleges excelling in the Liberal Arts, Law, Commerce, Science, Foreign Languages, Social Sciences, Communication, International Affairs, Education, Informatics and Innovation.  The University is among top 100 in Asia and ranked within 150 in modern languages, politics and international studies, and communication media studies.
