During August 16-27, 2021, the Faculty of Arts organized ARTS CU Summer Program\u00a0on\u00a0Thai Language and Culture (Online) for students from the University of Tokyo.\u00a0 Led by\u00a0Tsugihiro\u00a0Shimura from University of Tokyo, this year is the third year for the collaboration but the first year online due to COVID-19 outbreak.\u00a0\u00a0Attended by 20 students, the Program comprises lectures\u00a0on the relationship between Thailand and Japan,\u00a0workshops\u00a0and field trips\u00a0on Thai\u00a0arts and\u00a0culture and classes on\u00a0communicative\u00a0Thai.\u00a0 Towards the end of the\u00a0Program, the students presented the results of their studies on Thai language and culture.\u00a0 The topics are according to their own interests,\u00a0encompassing\u00a0various spheres of Thai language and society, namely, food, linguistics, marine litter, and performing arts.\u00a0\u00a0Even though all the sessions including the sightseeing, were conducted virtually, the students from the University of Tokyo\u00a0paid full attention to the Program.\u00a0\u00a0 Their final projects\u00a0truly\u00a0reflect their efforts\u00a0and their interests\u00a0in Thai language and culture.\u00a0 The Faculty of Arts would like to thank the staff at CASCA and the lecturers who made this online\u00a0Summer Program\u00a0happen.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
