Monday, June 19, 2023, the Faculty of Arts welcomed a group of Faculty staff and 33 English majors from Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), Ho Chi Minh City. The staff were welcomed by Associate Professor Suradech Chotiudompant, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Assistant Professor Nirada Chitrakara, Associate Dean, together with Assistant Professor Kiat Thepchuaysuk, Director of Center for Thai as a Foreign Language and Academic Service Center. The visit was in connection with the visit to their university by the Dean and Assistant Professor Chitrakara in January.  The guests included Mrs. Phuong Thanh Nguyen, Vice Dean, Mr. Thanh Van Nguyen, Head of International Affairs, Mr. Danh Cong Vu, Head of Teachers\u2019 and Students\u2019 Research, Mrs. Le Thi My Trinh, Head of Devision of Linguistics, Cultures and Literature, Mrs. Thao Phuong Ho, Head of Devision General Language Skills.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, as a result of the visit in January, the TDTU 33 students participated in TDTU Internship Program in Thai Language and Culture organized by the Faculty of Arts\u2019 Academic Service Center.\u00a0 The 2-week program comprises classes in basic Thai, lectures on Thai culture and society, workshops in Thai arts and handicrafts, and trips to a Thai company, Bangkok landmarks, and a seaside province. TDTU Internship Program is based on the Faculty of Arts Summer Program in Thai language and Culture that has been welcoming students from several international universities.\u00a0 TDTU is the first ASEAN affiliate to join the Program.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
