On July 25, 2025, the Faculty of Arts proudly hosted the inaugural South-East Asian Humanities Deans Summit (SEA-HUDS)\u2014a landmark gathering of deans and academic <\/a>leaders dedicated to shaping the future of humanities education and scholarship across the region. The summit was graciously opened by Professor Dr Pornanong Aramwit, Vice President for Research and Innovation of Chulalongkorn University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 30 deans and senior executives from leading universities in Southeast Asia and beyond came together for a day of meaningful dialogue. Through five carefully designed sessions\u2014each chaired by deans from prominent Thai universities\u2014participants exchanged best practices, explored avenues for collaboration, and collectively reaffirmed the vital role of the humanities in today\u2019s rapidly changing world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Faculty of Arts extends its sincere gratitude to all the academic executives, deans, and associate deans who traveled from near and far to be part of this important moment. We are especially grateful to those who contributed their invaluable insights throughout the sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope this summit will serve as a strong foundation for long-term, sustainable collaboration among leading institutions in Southeast Asia\u2014fostering shared growth, mutual learning, and a united voice for the humanities in our region and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
