Translation and Interpretation Services Unit

Since 1986, the Translation and Interpretation Service Unit has provided translation and interpretation services to cater to the needs of the society. We translate 13 foreign languages, namely English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cambodian, Malay, Burmese, and Vietnamese.

 

Translation Rates
(As specified in Chulalongkorn University Announcement on Translation Rates and Payments for the Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation Program B.E. 2543)
An A 4 page of non-technical text typewritten in Times New Roman size 12 or Cordia New size 14 as applicable An A 4 page of technical text typewritten in Times New Roman size 12 or Cordia New size 14 as applicable An Official Form, e.g. an identification card, a driving license, etc.
1. English – Thai 800 – 1,500 2,000 700 – 1,500
2. Thai – English 800 – 1,500 2,000 700 – 1,500
3. Other foreign languages – Thai 800 – 1,500 2,000 800 – 1,500
4. Thai – Other foreign languages 800 – 1,500 2,000 800 – 1,500

Notes:

1. Professional translation services are provided from and into Thai, English,
Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Khmer, Laotian, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Latin.
2. The amount indicates a maximum quote in Thai Baht.
3. Open: Monday – Friday Time 8.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. (closed 12.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.)

If paying in cash

Present notification of the amount due, issued by the Translation and Interpretation Services Unit receptionist, and pay the amount due at the Finance and Supplies Section, Mahavajiravudh Building, Room No. 117.  Keep the receipt to present to the Translation and Interpretation Services Unit receptionist when you collect the translation.

 

If paying through a bank (money transfer)

Transfer the amount due, as specified by the Translation and Interpretation Services Unit receptionist to the Bangkok Bank, Siam Square Branch, savings account no. 152-4-21835-9 “Academic Administration Funds Faculty of Arts Chulalongkorn University”.

On the day the translation is ready to be collected,

  1. If the translation fee has been paid in full, present the receipt to the Translation and Interpretation Services Unit receptionist when you collect the translation.
  2. If 60% deposit has been paid, pay the final installment of the translation fee at the Finance and Supplies Section, Mahavajiravudh Building, Room No. 117 and present the receipts for the deposit and the final installment to the Translation and Interpretation Services Unit receptionist when you collect the translation.

 

** Please receive the receipt from the staff every time. **

 

**If you do not have proof of payment.  We will not begin the process of translating to whether any case.**
