Admission

The department of comparative literature welcomes all students interested in applying for admission to undergraduate, Master’s degree and PhD program.

BA Program

Undergraduate students are subjected to the requirements of the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University.

MA Program

Applicants to the Master’s program must have a bachelor’s degree in arts, humanities, liberal arts, or related fields of study. Students from other fields are welcome considered on a case-by-case basis.

Admissions to the MA program are held twice a year.

The first call for application runs from October to March. Applicants are required to take a written exam and an interview in March. List of successful candidates is announced in April.

The second call for application, usually taking place in November, is for a ‘special admission’ and applicants are required to take a written exam and an interview in January of the following year.

PhD Program

For the applicants to the PhD program Plan A, a Master’s degree in arts, humanities, liberal arts, or related fields of study is required.

For the applicants to Plan B, a bachelor’s degree in arts, humanities, liberal arts, or related fields of study.

Students from other fields are welcome under the consideration of the department.
