Thibodi teaches courses on Thai and Southeast Asian history and civilization, as well as graduate seminar in history. His areas of interest include history of Southeast Asia with a focus on Post Angkorian Cambodia, history of ordinary people, as well as relation between history and folklore. His current project explores the construction of knowledge in Khmer folktales, and a translation of Khmer children’s books. He is also currently working on a book chapter about the intricate relation between clothes, body, and merit/power in the Nineteenth Century Cambodia. Before joining Chulalongkorn University in 2018, Thibodi was lecturer at History Department, Kasetsart University from 2005-2010.
