On February 11, 2016, the Faculty welcomed the Director of the British Council (Thailand), Mr Andrew Glass, and his team who came to discuss the feasibility of organizing events and talks in collaboration with the Faculty to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. Representing the Faculty were Assistant Professor Suradech Chotiudompant, PhD, Assistant Professor Carina Chotirawe, PhD, and Ajarn Pawit Mahasarinand. Among the topics discussed were the British Council’s plans to commemorate the momentous occasion, such as the screening of Shakespeare’s films and a short story competition, as well as the Faculty’s plan to organize a conference on the Bard later next year. To promote the ties between the two institutes, the Faculty may appoint some faculty members to be commentators in some of these screenings as well as judges for the competition
