During February 19-23, 2019, Assistant Professor Nirada Chitrakara, PhD, joined the CU OIA in the CU Active Recruitment Project in the cities of Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Indonesia.  Led by the Faculty of Medicine, this project was a pioneer project of Chulalongkorn University intending to internationalize graduate studies at the Chulalongkorn University. The mission was to recruit Indonesian students and to visit and promote the programs to the University of Indonesia in Jakarta and the Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta, leading institutes of higher education in the country.  Dr Chitrakara represented the Faculty of Arts and its five international graduate programs, namely, M.A. in English, M.A. and Ph.D. in Information Studies, M.A. and Ph.D. in Thai Studies, M.A. and Ph.D.in Linguistics, and M.A. and Ph.D. in English as an International Language. In addition to the Faculties of Arts and Medicine, there were also the Faculties of Dentistry, Architecture, and the College of Public Health.   As the number candidates for CU and those who showed interests in the programs at the Faculty of Arts were promising, it was hoped that the next phase of CU Active Recruitment would happen soon.
