Also on July 26, 2016, officials from another renowned university in Asia, the National University of Singapore (NUS), visited the Faculty of Arts. Koh Li Ling, Associate Director in Global Education, and Yee Oi Mey, Senior Manager, shared their vision and mission in enhancing the international relations between Chulalongkorn University and the NUS. Among the issues discussed were the channels in which international exchanges can be better facilitated as well as the administrative structures needed in order to accommodate such exchanges. At the moment, the NUS has a close tie with the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University. However, both sides pledged that such a privileged tie will soon be expanded to cover more faculties, especially the Faculty of Arts.

One of Asia’s top universities, the NUS is the oldest institution of higher education in Singapore and recently has extended its international outreach by founding the Yale-NUS College, with its focus on liberal arts and science education.
