On January 12, 2017, delegates from Aoyama Gakuin University visited the Faculty of Arts to discuss the renewal of the previously signed MoU. This meeting followed the visit by the Vice President of Aoyama Gakuin University last year. This time, two representatives from the university, Professor Takuya Hayashi and Mika Miyake from the School of Global Studies and Collaboration wished to further strengthen our academic relationship and increase the international traffic between the two universities. In this revised MoU, Aoyama Gakuin will increase the number of incoming students majoring in Japanese from the Faculty from five to ten students each semester and this group of students will enjoy such benefits as tuition fee waiving and accommodation provision during their stay in Japan. Aoyama Gakuin is a Christian University regarded as one of the most prestigious private universities in Japan. Its two campuses are in Tokyo and Kanagawa. Two of their distinctive alumni include Hajime Satomi, President of SEGA and Ryo Morigawa, president of LINE corporation.
