ChulaSEAL is recruiting part-time research assistants for a new research project titled “Subgrouping of Tai languages: A linguistic phylogenetic approach,” submitted to the National Research Council of Thailand.
Project duration
August 2021 – July 2024 (3 years)
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in or applying to the M.A. or Ph.D. program in Linguistics or related programs at Chulalongkorn University.
- Proficient in computer programming
- Comfortable working with statistical models (e.g. Bayesian inference)
- Passionate about languages, and interested in language change and language relationships
Responsibilities (approximately 15 hours of work per week)
- Assistance in data preparation and analysis
- Writing thesis/dissertation on topics related to computational phylogenetics of Tai languages
- Coordination of research project

- 8,500-baht salary
