Alice Röhler’s Fund

Professor Alice Röhler of Fulbright Thailand whom used to be a lecturer for Certificate and Diploma of Library Studies at the Faculty of Arts.  In 1955, he donated $1,500 to the Department of Library Science, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, an occasion to his 70th anniversary in 1977, as a working capital in each year to find different genres of books that received the international award and/or for educational purposes.

Dr. M.L. Joi (Ngon-Rot) Nantiwadcharin’s Fund

M.L. Joi (Ngon-Rath) Nantiwadcharin former lecturer at the Department of Library Science grants donation from alumnus and relatives in the event “60++” in 1997, sums the amount of 300,000 baht for the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. Dr. M.L. Joi (Ngon-Rath) Nantiwadcharin’s funds are used as a working capital for the research projects and Master’s Thesis conducted by students from Master of Arts in Library Science and for facility improvement of this department and/or educational purposes.

Associate Professor Klomjit Plyvej’s Fund

Associate Professor Klomjit Plyvej’s heir grants a sum of 50,000 baht for the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. Associate Professor Klomjit Plyvej’s funds are used as a working capital and for the purpose of supporting and host literary activities, as well as educational purposes for the students from Bachelor of Arts in Library Science’s program.

Associate Professor Rong Sayamondha’s Fund

Professor Suthilak Ambhanwong, Head of the Department of Library Science, raised a fund from distributing a book called “Writers of Arts”, which the department is the distributor with the donation sum of 44,000 baht for Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University in the name of Associate Professor Rong Sayamondha’s fund. Thenceforth, the department then gathered extra donations with the sum of 175,355.40 baht as a working capital for the following purposes:

  1. Promoting education, research, internship, the seminar for Library and Information Science, and domestic/international research for the department’s staff members.
  2. Promoting education, research, internship, the seminar for Library and Information Science, and domestic research for Central Library’s Librarian or Faculty of Arts’ Librarian.
  3. A reward for students whom graduated from Bachelor of Arts in Information Studies in the current academic year with GPAX in Information Studies course of 3.00 and above.
  4. As an expense for the Department of Library Science in distributing Library and Information Science’s works or related works. The income earned will be added to the current working capital fund.
  5. Any other activities that are considered to be related to the department.

Professor Suthilak Ambhanwong’s Fund

Established in 1983 from the fund that the Department of Library Science gathered through a donation from “Professor Suthilak Ambhanwong’s 60th Anniversary” is used for the following purposes:

  1. Promoting education, research, internship, the seminar for Library and Information Science, and domestic/international research for the department’s lecturers and professors.
  2. As a research fund for Master’s Thesis in Library Studies.
  3. As an expense for the Department of Library Science in distributing Library and Information Science’s works or related works.

Ms. Ruth M. Erlandson’s Fund

Established in 1965 by Ms. Ruth M. Erlandson, she donated an amount of money to Chulalongkorn University as an Erlandson’s Capital and bring gains as a reward for graduates from Master of Arts in Library Science with the highest GPAX of the current academic year.
