We are now happy to inform that our Bachelor of Arts in Information Studies (Thai program) and Master of Arts in Information Studies (English program) are now accredited by the Chartered Institute of Information and Library Professional, the United Kingdom library and information association. The independent assessor, Dr Carolynn Rankin, and CILIP representative, Ms Helen Berry, visited the department on October 16-17, 2019. The accreditation is valid until October 2024.
Our graduates from both accredited programmes can be ensured that they are going to study in the field of information studies as same level as several British universities’ programmes approved by CILIP. Such standard, in terms of its employability, is also accepted by many information service agencies in USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand.
CILIP: the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals is the leading professional body for information specialists, librarians and knowledge managers in the United Kingdom with roots going back to 1877. It is the second largest in the world and the only one with a Royal Charter. Its publishing arm, Facet, is the publisher of choice for the information profession. CILIP has a strong international focus and welcomes members from all over the world with an interest in the sector.
