The Department of Library Science, Faculty of Arts in collaboration with the Information Landscape Research Unit will host a public talk by Dr.Heidi Julien, Professor of Information Science at the University of Buffalo, State University of New York. As a renown expert on digital literacy and information behavior, Dr.Julien is giving a talk on “Roles for information professionals in the fake news era” on Friday March 6, 2020 at Boromrajakumari Building Room 501. BA and MA in Information Studies Accredited by CILIP, UK

It’s our pleasure to announce that our BA in Information Studies (Thai program) and MA in Information Studies (English program) are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. The Department had an opportunity to welcome the independent assessor, Dr Carolynn Rankin, and CILIP representative, Ms Helen Berry, for final evaluation between 16th and 17th October 2019. With this accreditation, our graduates are now eligible to apply for a position that requires CILIP accreditation around the world.

Local HCI community leader, Dr.Thippaya Chintakovid, joins LibSci@Chula faculty members

Department of Library Science at Chulalongkorn University is pleased to welcome Dr.Thippaya Chintakovid as a new faculty member beginning April 2019. Dr.Thippaya is interested in conducting research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), and User Experience Design (UXD). She has extensive teaching and research experience in human-computer interaction area. She has also been a part of leadership tem of Bangkok ACM SIGCHI Chapter.
