Accepting Applications for Active Recruitment 2019 in Indonesia

As a part of Active Recruitment 2019 initiative, the Graduate Programs in Information Studies (GPIS) welcome applicants from selected countries to an early admission process and have a on-site interview in their home countries.
Through this Active Recruitment initiative, application fee and partial tuition fee waiving will be especially considered for successful applicants.
In academic year 2019, the selected country is Indonesia. The deadline for submitting an application is February 10.

Two faculty members from our department, Dr.Songphan Choemprayong and Dr.Sorakom Dissamarn, presented their works at the 20th International Conference on Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries (ICADL 2018). The conference was hosted by the University of Waikato, New Zealand from November 19 – 22, 2018. Dr.Choemprayong gave a presentation entitled “Development of Content-Based Metadata Scheme of Classical Poetry in Thai National Historical Corpus” while Dr.Dissamarn delivered a poster presentation on “A Visual Content Analysis of Thai Government’s Census Infographics.”

Dr.Wachiraporn presented at Web Archiving Conference 2018

Our lecturer, Dr.Wachiraporn Klangtanaboon, presented a paper at Web Archiving Conference 2018 in New Zealand. The paper is entitled “Web Content in Anthropology: Lessons Learned for a Step in the Right Direction” outlining a web archiving initiative at the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre.
