IFLA School Library Guidelines, 2nd edition, now available in Thai

Dr. Wachiraporn Klungthanaboon collaborated with other LIS faculty members around the country translate the IFLA School Library Guidelines (2nd edition) into Thai. This collaborative translation project was kindly supervised by Prof. Dr. Diljit Singh, Prof. Dr. Chutima Sacchanand, and Dr. Prachak Wattananusit, with the support of the Thai Library Association.

New work: Work centered classification as communication

The new article published in Knowledge Organization entitled “Work centered classification as communication: Representing a central bank’s missions with the library classification” co-authored by Songphan Choemprayong, our faculty member and department chair, and Chiraporn Siridhorn from the Bank of Thailand Learning Center reports the application of service design approach and methods in revising library services to serve the needs of internal users as well as the public. The paper highlights the development of the new BOT classification which was an effort to improve the existing services from multiple points of view, including user support and access service, space and facility management, staff workflow, and public communication and education.
