BA and MA in Information Studies Accredited by CILIP, UK

It’s our pleasure to announce that our BA in Information Studies (Thai program) and MA in Information Studies (English program) are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. The Department had an opportunity to welcome the independent assessor, Dr Carolynn Rankin, and CILIP representative, Ms Helen Berry, for final evaluation between 16th and 17th October 2019. With this accreditation, our graduates are now eligible to apply for a position that requires CILIP accreditation around the world.

The Graduate Programs in Information Studies (GPIS) at Chulalongkorn University now offering one(1) PhD scholarship for a talented , highly motivated, and dedicated student. The Graduate Programs in Information Studies (GPIS) is now accepting admission applications for the second semester of academic year 2019 entry (beginning January 2020). The deadline for application submission is November 7, 2019.

Department of Library Science at Chulalongkorn University is pleased to welcome Dr.Thippaya Chintakovid as a new faculty member beginning April 2019. Dr.Thippaya is interested in conducting research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), and User Experience Design (UXD). She has extensive teaching and research experience in human-computer interaction area. She has also been a part of leadership tem of Bangkok ACM SIGCHI Chapter.
