The Thai Studies center, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University also offers courses to those who are not interested in pursuing a degree program but would like to take some courses of interest to them and to study various aspects of this country beyond what is available in guide books and simple texts. At the end of the semester, participants receive a certificate of attendance from the Faculty of Arts, provided that they have attended no less than 80% of the classes. Those can select some available courses from MA Degree courses.

*Students attending in non-degree program can take for up to 2 courses per semester.

Students can choose 1 of the 3 grading options which will be applied to all of the selected courses.

Letter Grades (A, B+, B, C+, C, D+, D, F)
Students must attend more than 80% of total class hours and submit all required assignments, including the midterm and/or final examination (if applicable). Grades are determined based on the quality of assignments and/or examination performance.

Satisfactory Grades (S, U)
Students must attend more than 80% of total class hours and submit all required assignments, including the midterm and/or final examination (if applicable). A passing result is recorded as S (Satisfactory), while a failing result is U (Unsatisfactory).

Visiting Grades (V, W)
Students must attend more than 80% of total class hours to receive V (Visiting). No assignment submission is required. Students who attend less than 80% of class hours may receive W (Withdrawn).
