On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, Assistant Professor Dr. Nirada Chitrakara and Dr. Porranee Singpliam welcomed Associate Professor Dr. Yuki Watabe from Tohoku University, Japan. The objective of the meeting was to discuss exchange and summer programs and other possible collaborations between the two institutions. Dr. Watabe from the Global Learning Center proposed that the summer program with the Faculty of Arts could potentially include a two to three-day internship at a leading corporate institution located in Bangkok. The Faculty of Arts and Tohoku University are also looking to enhance the connection at the student level in the forms of joint participation, lectures, and field trips, for instance. To keep up with the demands of the twenty first century skills, the exchange and summer programs could further endorse areas such as multicultural connection and transnational corporate experiences.
