Tuesday, July 5, 2022, the Faculty of Arts, led by Dean Suradech Chotiudompant, welcomed Professor Lucia Herrera Torres Dean of the Faculty of Education and Sports Sciences, Dr. Oswaldo Lorenzo, Deputy Dean for Research, International Projects and Transfer, and Dr.Teresa
Perandones, Director of University Orientation Cabinet from the University of Granada (UGR). The meeting concerned student exchanges and possible staff exchange programs after the two universities start onsite operation this coming academic year.
The Faculty of Arts, through the Spanish Section, has close ties with the UGR. Before the COVID outbreak, our students had been enjoying exchange programs at the UGR. With the strength of the Spanish Section, they are looking to invite an exchange professor from the UGR to join them. UGR is also ready to organize a summer course to welcome international students. The collaboration is promising.
Founded in 1531 by Emperor Charles V, the University of Granada is the fourth largest university in Spain, with approximately 80,000 students. Supporting more than 150 research projects, the University prides itself on having a strong research focus. Many of its international students are supported by the Erasmus program every year (the most of any European university). Its Centre for Modern Languages welcomes over 10,000 overseas students annually.
