On Friday, August 18, 2023, Assistant Professor Nirada Chitrakara, Associate Dean, and Assistant Professor Porranee Singpliam, Assistant Dean, met with Assistant Professor Chawarote Valyamedhi from National Chengchi University, Taiwan (NCCU).  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss academic collaborations regarding exchange programs, a double degree program, and a summer program.  As the interest in Thai language and culture is rising, more Taiwanese students are enrolling in the Program in Thai Studies at NCCU. As a result, it is viewed that collaboration with the Faculty of Arts will help enhance NCCU Thai studies.  The exchange programs will involve both exchange of students and staff, while the double degree program will involve students spending half of the program at each university and receive the degrees from both institutions.  The summer program will additionally serve as an extra-curricular activity for students who started their interest in Thai language and culture.
