On 15 May 2026, the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University had the pleasure of hosting students from NUS College for a full-day academic and cultural program. Associate Professor Dr. Pasuree Luesakul, Associate Dean for International Affairs, warmly welcomed a group of more than twenty students, accompanied by Dr. Roweena Yip.
The program began with a campus tour led by student ambassadors Punn Konkam and Thanuta Jitranukitkul. This was followed by an engaging seminar, “Thai Performing Arts from Glorious National Heritage to Radical Contemporary Works,” delivered by Professor Pornrat Damrhung, Dr. Lowell Scar, and Assistant Professor Dr. Piyawat Thamkulangkool.
In the afternoon, learning extended beyond the classroom through an immersive excursion to Bang Rak and Talat Noi, two of Bangkok’s historic districts renowned for their rich multicultural heritage. The excursion was led by Mr. Pattadon Kijchainukul and Associate Professor Dr. Arthid Sheravanichkul. Students explored the dynamic coexistence of cultures and faiths through visits to Chow Sue Kong Shrine, Holy Rosary Church, and Haroon Mosque, gaining a deeper understanding of the city’s pluralistic identity.
This program reflects our commitment to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and experiential learning by connecting heritage, community, and contemporary perspectives in meaningful ways. We look forward to further collaborations in the future!

เมื่อวันที่ 15 พฤษภาคม 2569 คณะอักษรศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ได้จัดกิจกรรมวิชาการและวัฒนธรรม “From Stage to Street: Thai Performing Arts and the Multicultural Soul of Bangkok” ให้กับนักศึกษาจาก NUS College ประเทศสิงคโปร์ โดยรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. ภาสุรี ลือสกุล รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิรัชกิจได้กล่าวต้อนรับนักศึกษาจำนวนกว่า 20 คนซึ่งเดินทางมาพร้อมกับ Dr. Roweena Yip
กิจกรรมเริ่มต้นด้วยการเยี่ยมชมคณะอักษรศาสตร์โดยยุวทูตนิสิต น.ส. ปุณณ์ กลแกม และน.ส. ฐานุตา จิตรานุกิจกุล จากนั้นเป็นการบรรยายในหัวข้อ “Thai Performing Arts from Glorious National Heritage to Radical Contemporary Works” โดยศาสตราจารย์พรรัตน์ ดำรุง Dr. Lowell Scar และผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร. ปิยะวัฒน์ ธรรมกุลางกูร
ในช่วงบ่าย นักศึกษาได้ทัศนศึกษาในย่านบางรักและตลาดน้อย ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ประวัติศาสตร์สำคัญของกรุงเทพมหานครที่สะท้อนความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมอย่างชัดเจน โดยคุณพัทธดนย์ กิจชัยนุกูลและรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อาทิตย์ ชีรวณิชย์กุลได้นำนักศึกษาเยี่ยมชมศาสนสถานสำคัญ ได้แก่ ศาลเจ้าโจวซือกง วัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) และมัสยิดฮารูณ เพื่อเรียนรู้ถึงการอยู่ร่วมกันของชุมชนต่างวัฒนธรรมที่สืบทอดมาอย่างยาวนาน
กิจกรรมในครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงบทบาทของคณะอักษรศาสตร์ในการส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ข้ามวัฒนธรรม และการสร้างพื้นที่แลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ในระดับนานาชาติ อันจะนำไปสู่ความเข้าใจในความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมอย่างลึกซึ้งและยั่งยืนในอนาคต
