The Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, is honored to host the inaugural South-East Asian Humanities Deans Summit (SEA-HUDS) 2025. This momentous event, taking place for the first time in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 25, will bring together deans and academic executives from leading universities across Southeast Asia to exchange ideas and explore future collaborations.
Held in a spirit of partnership and a shared commitment to the value of the humanities, the one-day summit will welcome deans and academic leaders to the Chulalongkorn University campus for discussions organized around four key themes: reimagining humanities curricula in Southeast Asia; promoting regional research agendas and collaboration; the humanities and public engagement; and the futures of the humanities in the age of AI.
By fostering cross-border cooperation and intellectual exchange, the summit aims to establish a long-term framework for collaboration among institutions in Southeast Asia and beyond. It also seeks to reaffirm the role of the humanities as a vital pillar of regional integration and sustainable development.
Interested educational leaders and academics are warmly invited to attend the summit as observers. Please register in advance via this link https://forms.gle/PsWZmXQa8HfHqwKJ7 and await confirmation. The number of observer seats is limited so please register early.
