On Wednesday 22 February 2023, the Department of English, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand, organised a public screening of a Ukrainian film entitled “Ivan the Powerful” (2013) at Room 307, Boromrajakumari Building.

The film was introduced by Dr Olga Rusova (Second Secretary, Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand), who also participated in the post-screening discussion on the topic of “The Biopic as Narrative of Gender, Nationhood and Regional Identity”.

This event was held as part of the English Department’s “2202372: Literature and Film” course, convened by Associate Professor Verita Sriratana, PhD.
