Meeting with a representative from the University of Sussex

On Thursday, March 23, 2023, Assistant Professor Nirada Chitrakara, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts, joined Associate Professor Pannee Cheewinsiriwat, Ph.D., Assistant Vice President for Research Affairs, Chulalongkorn University and Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director of Chulalongkorn University’s Office of International Affairs and Assistant Professor Thitirat Panbamrungkij, Department of Geography to welcome Li Camm, Head of Global Partnerships, Global Engagement Office, University of Sussex, UK.  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss possible collaborations between the two universities.  Since last year, the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts has been collaborating with Professor John Barlow from Sussex.  The two institutions are looking forward to more collaborations both at the faculty and the university levels.  Possibilities of exchange are in the picture as Sussex encourages its students to have international experience either online or onsite by providing points for classes taken at foreign universities.  The University of Sussex is, thus, interested in both online and onsite courses and programs at Chula.
