The Faculty of Arts presents ‘Constructing gender and sexuality in Thai: Findings and observations from linguistic perspectives.’

In celebration of Pride Month, the Faculty of Arts presents ‘Constructing gender and sexuality in Thai: Findings and observations from linguistic perspectives.’

Gender difference and sexual diversity have long been observed and studied both by academia and the general public. Various resources including language have been associated with gender and sexual identities. In this talk, Pavadee Saisuwan, our faculty member from the Department of Linguistics, will share with us how various elements in the Thai language contribute to the presentation and the construction of gender and sexuality. The session will be moderated by Porranee Singpliam, our lecturer from BALAC program.

The talk will be via Zoom. All are invited. To register, please scan the QR code below or log on to https://forms.gle/9NnhhhXZZyoCFWGBA.
