หากนิสิตเคยเรียนวิชา 2296200 ภาษามนุษย์ มาแล้ว ให้เลือกเรียนวิชาจากรายวิชาบังคับเลือกของโปรแกรมปกติสำหรับนิสิตในคณะแทนรายวิชา 2209161 ภาษาทัศนา

เหมือนรายวิชาเลือกของโปรแกรมปกติสำหรับนิสิตในคณะ
โปรแกรมเกียรตินิยม
สำหรับนิสิตวิชาเอกสาขาวิชาอื่นในคณะที่มีคุณสมบัติดังนี้
- มีความสนใจที่จะศึกษาด้านภาษาศาสตร์โดยเน้นการวิจัย เพื่อเป็นพื้นฐานในการศึกษาต่อในระดับปริญญาโทและเอกต่อไป
- ผ่านการเรียนในชั้นปีที่ 1 ด้วยแต้มเฉลี่ยสะสมไม่ต่ำกว่า 3.75 และเรียนรายวิชาในหลักสูตรมาแล้วไม่ต่ำกว่า 36 หน่วยกิต กรณีได้แต้มเฉลี่ยสะสมต่ำกว่า 3.75 แต่สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ของมหาวิทยาลัย คือ 3.50 ให้อยู่ในดุลยพินิจของคณะกรรมการบริหารคณะอักษรศาสตร์
- ต้องได้รับความเห็นชอบจากสาขาวิชาเอกที่นิสิตสังกัดอยู่

Students may take graduate courses offered by the department of linguistics as electives if approved by the administrative committee of the curriculum.
Normal Program for Non-Arts students
Total credits 18 credits

2209161 Introduction to Linguistics
If the student had previously enrolled in 2296200 Human Languages prior, the student may choose a course from the compulsory electives of the normal program for Arts students instead of 2209161 Introduction to Languages.
Electives 15 credits
Same as the normal program for Arts students.
Honors Program
- The Honors Program is for students who are interested in studying linguistics and doing linguistic research as background.
- Students who are eligible for the Program are those who have earned no less than 3.75 GPA during their first undergraduate year and taken the bachelor’s degree courses for at least 36 credits. The eligibility of students with their GPA lower than 3.75 but higher than 3.50 is subject to the consideration of the administrative committee of the department of linguistics.
- Students must have been given approval from the major department.
