Faculty of Arts welcomed 20 students from National Chengchi University, Taiwan (NCCU)

On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the Faculty of Arts welcomed 20 students from National Chengchi University, Taiwan (NCCU). The purpose of their visit was to attend a lecture on Issues in Gender Studies in Thailand conducted by Assistant Professor Porranee Singpliam from BALAC Program. The lecture is part of the students’ visit to Thailand led by Assistant Professor Chawarote Valyamethi from the program in Southeast Asian Language and Culture at NCCU. This is the second time for the Faculty of Arts to welcome NCCU students and the first time for them to attend a lecture by our staff. More collaborations are in the picture for the two institutions.

National Chengchi University is Taiwan’s top university in Humanities and Social Sciences renowned for its focus on humanities and social sciences. Assistant Professor Valamethi represents the Program in Southeast Asian Language and Culture, in which Thai is among the popular languages.
